Would Bush & McCain have some faith in American know-how?

The solutions to the US energy problems are not sitting offshore but don't tell that to the Republicans. Maybe they have little faith in American engineering and entrepreneurs but that's nothing new. Whether the US drills offshore or we help promote new energies, it will take time to get started so why ruin our environment when we can tap into our own home grown talent? Besides addressing the energy issue it also helps develop jobs and leadership in a fast growing industry. Bush and McCain have so little faith in the American spirit and tell people that drilling is the only solution. By focusing exclusively on drilling, the Bush/McCain team is telling the world that America is too stupid to build a better solution.
