Honda rolling out hydrogen cars

It may not be the answer to climate change though we're also not likely to find one single solution overnight. Supporters tout the water vapor emissions while others claim it's no better than the new (cleaner) diesel cars that are sold in Europe. Opponents argue that producing hydrogen extracted from fossil fuels (as Bush wants) causes pollution and hydrogen leaked in to the environment can cause other problems.

The four-seater, called FCX Clarity, runs on hydrogen and electricity, emitting only water vapour.

Honda claims the vehicle offers three times better fuel efficiency than a traditional, gasoline-powered car.

Honda plans to produce 200 of the cars, which are initially only available to lease, over the next three years.
