GOP joins Catholic church in trying to get insurers to deny women contraceptive coverage

I'm going to guess that that's going to go over real well with women. And just as important, why is Roy Blunt doing the bidding of people who enable pedophiles? From Greg Sargent at the Post:

Separately, GOP Rep. Roy Blunt recently introduced a measure that would give insurers the right to deny women contraceptive coverage.
Oh and big surprise here - the public agrees with President Obama, and not with the Catholic bishops and the Republican party:
By the way, a new poll came out just today illustrating how perilous this position may be among Americans overall. It found that a big majority, 61 percent, approve of “requiring employer health plans to cover birth control for women.” Only 34 percent disapproved. Independents approve 58-34; women, 67-29. Republicans, conservatives, and Tea Partyers all oppose it.
Guess who else doesn't support insurance paying at all for contraception?  Frothy Santorum.  And guess who does support it?  58% of independents (same link as previous).
