Who's dumb idea was that? Looks like it's coming from the Lincoln Memorial.

It just had a big finish. I don't care whose idea that was, dem or republican, it strikes me as a bit inappropriate.

Oh, isn't that special, it looks like it's a party our wonderful president is throwing for WWII - yes, he just won't let that WWII thing go. OH, I really hope he showed up to enjoy the fireworks.

A ceremony will be held on Friday, September 2, 2005 at the National World War II Memorial, on the National Mall in Washington D.C, An estimated 10,000, people including many Veterans from the United States and Allied Countries are expected to attend the event. The ceremony will start at 6 pm with pre-ceremony entertainment, the commemoration itself begins at 7 pm. The ceremony includes addresses by President Bush and former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and WWII Veteran General John Vessey, and the laying of wreaths at the Atlantic Arch in honor of those who died during the war. The ceremony will conclude with fireworks and a live performance by the Liberty Belles, a USO 1940s-style show.
