Entire Cheney family on stage tonight BUT NOT MARY

In an incredible slap to Mary and the gay community, Dick Cheney's lesbian daughter Mary was reportedly NOT on the stage tonight as the entire Cheney family went on stage to join VP Cheney after his prime time speech at the GOP Convention. Mary WAS in the audience with her longtime girlfriend Heather Poe, but several news reports, including Sirius OutQ's Mike Signorile, report that Mary did not get up on stage after her father finished speaking, even though the rest of the family did.

This may have been Mary's own decision, I don't know. But it's unacceptable regardless of who decided to keep her off stage. There's only one reason Mary wasn't on stage, nor was her partner, and that's because Mary is a lesbian. Whether the decision was hers or her father's or her party's, it was a homophobic decision and once again illustrates what the Cheneys, and the GOP, are all about. For shame.
