Mitch McConnell impressed with Obama's selection of Daley

Oh boy.

“I frankly think it’s kind of a hopeful sign,” said McConnell to reporters. “He has the business background.”

McConnell said he used to joke that there’s “nobody down at the White House who’s ever even run a lemonade stand, all these professors or former elected officials” – although he allowed he’s not sure if that’s “technically true or not.”

“This is a guy who’s actually been out in the private sector, been a part of business,” he said. “Frankly, my first reaction is that it sounds like a good idea.”
