My favorite moment from yesterday - upon taking the gavel, the new speaker opened the session with a commitment to the next generation - how refreshing. From the LA Times: "One of Pelosi's campaign promises was to take the House gavel away from special interests and pass it to "the hands of America's children."" It's a new day in Washington.
