It's not often that really cool things happen in DC. But, today was different. The space shuttle Discovery did a fly-over on its way to to the Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum out by Dulles. It came down, did a loop, then flew back. It was quite awesome.
To give a sense of how big this is, that little spec behind the 747 in my photo below is a fighter jet.
