First, if anyone is obsessed with sex, it's Rick Santorum and his fellow theocrats. The gays have known that for a long, long time. But, this exchange is stunning nonetheless. It actually left Andrea Mitchell a bit speechless. For years, we've been warning that the theocratic GOPers were coming after birth control. No one believed it. It just seemed too absurd. Well, between this interview and that hearing on the Hill today, no one should be doubting it anymore.
Here's the clip from Santorum funder Foster Friess, and a quick quote:
"This contraceptive thing, my gosh it's so inexpensive. Back in my days, they used Bayer aspirin for contraceptives. The gals put them between their knees and it wasn't that costly."
