Deaf, disabled senior citizen on bicycle deemed threat by police, tased to death for not hearing cop

I stole the Gawker headline because it says what needs saying.

I've never met a country more in need of Daddy's protection than Right Wing Nation, the country that writes the rules for how America is governed. And what better Daddy than the cop on the beat.

Here's what cops get to do:

[C]an someone explain to me why Officer John Turner of Scotland Neck, North Carolina's police department felt the need to use a [taser] on an 61-year-old, disabled man with a hearing impairment who was riding down the street on a bicycle? Because that man is now dead.

The call came on Monday night, and it made mention of a man who had fallen off his bicycle and injured himself in a parking lot. So Officer Turner pulled up to the scene, and found Roger Anthony — a local fixture who people call "Rabbit" because he had big ears — rolling down the street on his bicycle. Turner followed Anthony in his patrol vehicle, sirens blaring, and ordered him to pull over. Anthony didn't respond.

Williams said Turner then saw Anthony take something out his pocket and put it into his mouth. At that time, Turner got out of the car and yelled for Anthony to stop. When Anthony didn't stop, the officer used a stun gun on him, causing him to fall off of his bike.

Cops get to do anything they want to achieve "control" of any situation. Anything. Even kill you.

Doubt me? Ask a cop. (You cops in the comments, say it isn't so.)

So here's what "Rabbit" did — He ignored an order to stop, he took something that could have been drugs or a weapon out of his pocket, and he put something into his mouth. He got a second yelled order to stop and he didn't. So the cop killed him with a non-lethal weapon.

And folks, it's all good, because Daddy followed procedure. (Really, he did.)

So who wrote and approved that procedure (and does so every day)? Right Wing Solid Citizen. Someone who really really needs big strong Daddy to make him or her feel safe, because Right Wing Solid Citizen is as frightened and pathetic a creature as you could imagine.

Right Wing Solid Citizen wants you naked at the airport and quaking before police. And we live in his country (until someone kicks him out of the driver's seat).
