As a Professional Golf Management Trainee, you are given the opportunity to learn how Morale Welfare and Recreation (MWR) golf operations function. On-the job-training programs vary according to the opportunities available at the installation but will focus on: Overall operations of the golf course; proshop operations to include ordering, visual merchandising of resale items, planning, and conduct of play; outings and tournaments, ensuring that the facility is clean, safe, and meets standards of a quality golf operation; participates in regular meetings with the Golf Advisory Council; maintain relationship with the golf course maintenance staff; assist with operation of the golf car fleet; and, oversee certain aspects of food and beverage operation to support outings and tournaments. MUST SIGN A MOBILITY AGREEMENT. ENROLLMENT IN THE LEADER DEVELOPMENT ASSIGNMENT PROGRAMN IS MANDATORY.
