A reader, Doug, an expat in Vancouver BC, writes:
I am an American writing this letter from Vancouver, British Columbia. I grew up in Ohio, lived in DC for 10 years and Miami for 10 years. In 2007 I had to move to Canada due to the federal Defense of Marriage Act. My Canadian husband could not live in the US, so I had to move to Canada.
I voted for Barrack Obama. I did not have 'Obamamania' as many in my homeland seemed to. Something about him bothered me but I was not sure what it was. Today I found out with his atrocious defense of DOMA, that he will throw any group under the bus if it suits his needs.
