Evan Thomas of Newsweek repeats debunked GOP smear of Obama, says Obama doesn't insist on "respect for the office"

Too bad this GOP smear was thoroughly debunked a month ago. Is it really possible that as big a journalist as Evan Thomas - not to mention his editors at Newsweek - never even heard that this was debunked?

Do your job.

Obama's style is more informal than his predecessor's. Bush insisted on respect for the office: aides wore coats and ties and saluted smartly, metaphorically and literally. White House photos show Obama in his shirt sleeves or tossing a football in the Oval Office.
