No, seriously, it's a necessary evil so that we can tell politicians, the media, and our advertisers just who the heck you all are. Only the first couple of pages of the survey are important, you can skip the rest if you're not into answering questions about dental floss and bourbon (but if you are...). We've already had nearly 7,000 of you respond, which is great since that's a good 8% of our readers or more.
