GOP Senators are playing procedural games with the minimum wage debate to put off the debate on the anti-escalation resolutions. That's the report from Bob Geiger:
[T]he Republicans figure that if they can keep the Senate occupied indefinitely with an open-and-shut thing like a minimum wage increase, they can avoid the thing they fear most -- having to vote on any of the myriad Iraq-war resolutions waiting in the wings.Stay tuned because things could pretty wild in the Senate this week. Despite the GOP delaying tactics, there is going to be a debate on Iraq. The GOP enabled this war, they never challenged Bush's failed leadership on the war, now, they can't avoid debating it.
