I don't think I've read anything that has struck me as this racist in a long time, let alone an editorial from a leading American business publication.
Regardless of one's views on racial profiling, Investor's Business Daily, a rather high-profile business publication, appears to have a problem with Arab- and Muslim- Americans per se. How dare a Web site be published in Arabic? How dare Americans celebrate a Muslim holiday? How dare a congressman look after the interests of his constituents who are Arab-American or Muslim-American?
Then, after all of that, Investor's Business Daily ends their racist diatribe with the following gem:
[Michigan congressman John] Conyers led the defense of Bill Clinton in last decade's impeachment hearings and is clearly out for blood. So are many of the constituents he serves.Excuse me? Many of John Conyers Arab-American and Muslim-American constituents are "out for blood"? What is this kind of racist garbage doing in one of America's top business publications, as an editorial no less?
