UK bird died of H5N1 strain of bird flu

The good news is that the bird did not arrive from South America with the dangerous flu but instead, was infected by infected birds from Taiwan that were also in quarantine. This does raise the issue of H5N1 in Taiwan, but at least it has not (yet) spread to South America.
