House GOP follows Senate's lead - votes to set up fake Katrina commission to rubber-stamp Bush's actions

The House Republicans are heading down the same track as the Senate Republicans. Set up a fake commission, run by Republicans, so they can exonerate Bush of all wrongdoing and make sure America is unprepared for a future Al Qaeda attack.

Then look at the action alert a few posts down, and call your Senators and now House members too and bitch like hell. The House has not yet had its final vote on this. But regardless, they can still fix it later, it doesn't matter when they vote.

We cannot let the Republicans put our nation at risk for partisan gain. Demand an independent commission to investigate the Katrina disaster. Demand the Republicans stop playing politics with Katrina.
