It's just downright gross.
From George Bush to Bill Frist to Arlen Specter, not one of them can understand why the public is getting angrier and angrier at their inability to give this disaster more than a moment's attention.
Bill Frist should NOT be scheduling a vote on the estate tax next week, and Arlen Specter should delay next week's Supreme Court nomination hearings of John Roberts for at least a few days.
Good God, people, it's not just a sign of respect. We shouldn't be focusing the entire nation, and the entire Washington political machinery, on tax cuts and John Roberts when we need to be focusing like a laser beam on getting those people out of New Orleans.
Does the Republican party care about anyone who isn't unborn?
Or brain dead.
