The Toledo Blade is good. Today, they have yet another development in the still unfolding Coin-gate....a scandal which reaches through the entire Ohio GOP hierarchy:
A Colorado coin dealer used insider information to skim profits from Tom Noe’s $50 million state-funded coin venture, recently released records from the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation show. So, now add profit skimming to the list of shenanigans. Makes you wonder what else is going on in Ohio -- and makes you really wonder to what lengths the powers in the OH GOP that be will try to cover up their messes -- and how much they are willing to spend to do it.
An October, 2004, memo states that early last year Mr. Noe “became aware of possible fraudulent activities” by Michael Storeim, the former manager of Numismatic Professionals, the Colorado-based subsidiary set up by Mr. Noe to buy and sell rare coins for the state.
This story just keeps giving and giving.
