Despite pissing off Wall Street by, oh heavens, holding people accountable, he has had no problem at all raising cash for his camapaign for governor of NY. Current governor Pataki, the guy who makes a wet blanket look exciting still has not decided whether or not to run. (Please, go ahead and run so we can see you sent packing by Spitzer.)
The president of the traditionally right wing US Chamber of Commerce is less than thrilled with Spitzer, which out to be reason enough to support him. Funny how sensitive some are to corporate accountability and the screwing of the middle class by Wall Street.
Thomas J. Donahue has called Spitzer's investigations of Wall Street research, mutual fund trading and insurance "the most egregious and unacceptable form of intimidation that we have seen in this country in modern time."
