ThereIsNoCrisis.com, the BlogPac supported Web campaign to defeat Bush's Social Security proposal, is asking folks to host house parties during the State of the Union tomorrow night (Wednesday). I'm on the advisory board of BlogPac and helping out on this campaign, and just got off the phone with the guys organizing this. For those who don't know, a house party is quite simply a gathering of a bunch of like-minded friends at your house to watch the show, and usually there are some extra to-do's thrown in. Of course you'll be able to send letters to the editor to the newspapers via the Web after the address, and there will be a conference call afterwards as well that you'll be invited to (Atrios, among others, will be speaking on the call). I've also suggested they come up with a Bush Bingo - if anyone can find the site where you create your own Bingo cards out of things Bush may say that night, let me know. Drinking games, specialized drinks for the evenings with funny names - I've suggested all of this, and am open to suggestions from you guys as well.
