I'm in Chicago, and MAN did it snow today. Ok, for Chicago, it wasn't a big story - a few inches in parts of the city, up to 6 possibly in the south burbs. But still, it snowed massive sticky flakes, and every tree and branch and piece of grass is painted white right now. It's absolutely amazingly gorgeous. Any of you who have spent any time in the snowier parts of the world know what I mean - the Eskimos must have a word for this kind of snow, the stuff that's thick and a bit wetter so it sticks to every itty bitty tree branch and twig. Anyway, it's just lovely. A very nice seasonal cleansing to get my mind out of DC and away from the political grind, for at least an evening :-)
