I'm sorry, but I need to add something to Chris' post below about the new Bush surrogate ads attacking Mrs. Kerry. They're not just nasty, they're racist. Read this:
One commercial says: "Our community doesn't need another wishy-washy, rich, white politician. And boy, does Kerry come across as rich, white and wishy-washy." Another says: "His wife says she's an African American. While technically true, I don' t believe a white woman, raised in Africa, surrounded by servants qualifies." Referring to Heinz Kerry, newspaper ads ask: "African-American? Or elitist, rich and white?"Ok, that ad is racist. It's also beyond the pale of personal attacks. Bush should be out there immediately denouncing this ad, apologizing to Mrs. Kerry, and apologizing to the black community for, once again, trying to suppress their vote.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again, the one thing you can say for Mrs. Heinz-Kerry vs. Laura Bush, at least Mrs. Kerry never killed anybody.
