There is something terribly sad about a people who claim to be pacifists, who claim to be vehemently and viscerally opposed to government-sponsored violence, but who are willing to turn a blind eye to such violence expressly because the perpetrator is also a gay-basher. Apparently to the Amish, war is bad, but gay-bashing is better. And to think I had some idea that they were a quaint nice people.
