The "outing" story goes nationwide

I just got several calls from reporters for national newspapers, national news magazines, and TV stations interested in the congressional outing story. This story is going national. The rumor here in DC, according to every reporter I spoke with, is that the local gay paper, the Washington Blade, is going to "out" a list of congressional staff working for anti-gay members of Congress in the issue that comes out tomorrow, Friday. I have no idea if this is true (honestly), but just the fact of the rumor means people are shitting bricks, and that I think is a good thing.

We have accepted for far too long fellow gays who work for horribly anti-gay politicians and thus help those politicians bash our community. Whether or not we out them in response, at the very least it's time we stopped tolerating this situation as normal. These people need, at the very least, to be confronted over their hypocrisy, and when we see them in public we ought to tell them we don't approve.
